WHAT IS CBD?
CBD is a naturally occurring component of the hemp plant. It is a non-intoxicating phytocannabinoid that offers a range of whole-body uses. CBD is just one of dozens of phytocannabinoids and other phytochemicals found in hemp.
WHAT IS CBD OIL?
CBD oil is derived from hemp plants that have high levels of cannabidiol (CBD) and low levels of THC. At K’anep, our CBD oils always have less than 0.3% THC. CBD content of CBD oil can vary tremendously across different vendors due to the varying quality of hemp that's used, as well as varying preparation and extraction techniques. HOW IS OUR CBD OIL MANUFACTURED?
Our hemp is grown and harvested organically in Colorado and Oregon. At Kanep, we use solvent-free CO2 extraction; in other words, using the CO2 from the air we breathe to extract the beneficial molecules.
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HEMP & MARIJUANA?
Scientifically, industrial hemp and marijuana are the same plant, with a genus and species name of Cannabis sativa. They have a unique genetic profile, however. Typically, industrial hemp is very fibrous with long strong stalks and few flowering buds. Marijuana plants are typically smaller, bushier, and full of flowering buds. However, newer industrial hemp varieties in the USA are being bred to have more flowers and higher yields of cannabinoids and terpenes. Most of the time, marijuana has a high amount of THC and a very low amount of CBD. Hemp, on the other hand, naturally has higher amounts of CBD (in most instances) and only trace amounts of THC. Fortunately, the cannabinoid profile of hemp is ideal for people looking for benefits from cannabis without the ‘high.’ Historically, hemp has been used to make food products, fiber, rope, paper, bricks, oil, natural plastic, and so much more. In the US, marijuana is usually used both recreationally and medicinally.
The term “cannabis oil” can refer to either a marijuana or hemp-derived oil, since marijuana and hemp are two different forms of cannabis. All K’anep CBD oils are derived from hemp.
IS CBD OIL LEGAL?
CBD from hemp is widely available across the USA. In 2018, updates to the U.S. Farm Bill legalized the commercial cultivation of hemp under certain regulations. HOW SHOULD I STORE MY CBD? WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE?
For the best shelf life please store in a cool dark area, this will assure there is no loss in potency. Don’t allow to sit in direct sunlight. If properly stored CBD has around a 1 year shelf life!
WILL I FAIL A DRUG TEST IF I TAKE CBD PRODUCTS?
Kanep CBD oil is sourced from USA-grown industrial hemp, and may contain trace THC levels below 0.3%. Kanep CBD does not guarantee that you will or will not pass a drug screen after consuming our products. It is possible that the trace THC content may show up on various drug screenings.

WILL I GET HIGH?
No. All of our hemp extract products are made from industrial hemp with THC levels below 0.3%. There is no intoxicating effect from taking our products.

HOW LONG BEFORE I RECEIVE MY PRODUCT?
You will normally receive your Kanep product within 3 to 9 working days.
